7 Beaches To Visit Before You Die

Whitehaven Beach- Australia

An incredible beach in the Australian islands of whitsunday located in the great barrier reef about 12 km off the south coast of Queensland Australia. Probably the most photographed of all Australia's beaches, once you have seen it you know why. The greatest part of this beautiful tropical beach is on the northern end. Known as Hill Inlet, a visually stunning site where the shifting tides and extensive sandbars create incredible fusions of sand and surf like nothing you will see anywhere else on Earth.

Navagio beach- Greece

Another really cool looking beach, its located on the eastern part of the Greek island of Zakynthos. Definitely one of the most famous beaches in Greece. The name Navagio or "the shipwreck" is notable because on the beach there lays the 1983 wreck of an alleged smuggler ship, thus the spot if often referred to as smugglers cove. Massive limestone cliffs flank the white sand beach on 3 sides, beautiful warm blue water makes for a perfect swim. Tour boats provide the only real access and anchor at the beach hourly.

Fernando De Noronha, Brazil

Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago of 21 islands and inlets 350 km off the atlantic coast of Brazil. Although considered part of Brazil these islands are very much off the beaten trail. The area has been designated a UNESCO world heritage site and large conservation projects keep the marine and coastal environments well preserved. Although not a single beach, Fernando de Noronha makes our list because it is unlike any tropical setting on earth and home to 3 out of 4 of Brazils 5 star beaches.

Ma ya Beach- Thailand

Anyone who has ever seen the movie 'the beach' starring Leonardo DiCaprio knows just how incredible this spot is. Look at it this way they made a movie called the beach and out of all the beaches in the world this is the one they picked, need I say more? Ma Ya Bay is a visually stunning landscape, the entire bay sits atop a huge reef, the main beach is 200m of silky white sand, towering 100 meter cliffs surround the bay on 3 sides and the water is crystal clear.

Wonder Strands Labrador

I included this beach because people tend to think that all the most beautiful beaches on earth are in tropical locales. This beach is one of the most incredible white sand beaches on earth and yet it is about as far from the tropics as you can get- rugged and remote Labrador in eastern Canada. It is said the Viking Eric the red sailed along these coasts over 200 years before Colombus reached the new world, the beach was so vast it took 2 days to sail past, they named it Wonder Strands.

Anse Source D'Argent, La Digue, Seychelles

This is really cool. Once thought to be the location of the garden of Eden, the Seychelles are a group of around 115 islands that lay about 800 km east of Kenya in the Indian Ocean. Anse Source D'Argent is considered by the travel channel and many celebrities to be one of the best beaches on earth. The scenery is breathtaking with clear blue waters, lush palm trees, pristine white sand dotted with huge granite boulders.

Tulum Beach, Mexico

I wanted to include this beach because I have to say it is one of the coolest beaches I have ever seen. Warm blue tropical waters, beautiful white sand and the impressive backdrop of ancient mayan temples known as the 'tulum ruins' -dating to around 250 BC. Located on the yukatan about 80 miles SE of Cancun. This spot was likely once used by mayan royalty for many of the same reasons it is visited by tourists today.
